Desolation
The autumn leaves are falling
summers breath has died
The icy blast is calling
snowflakes to its side
The trees that weep in sorrow
for days of yesterday
flowers dead tomorrow
when all is bleak and grey
The muted sound of dark swans wings
the ducks are flying free
listen as the forest sings
beneath each silver star
Hear last sounds of laughter
see golden, red and green
and wait forever after
for what has never been.....
