Beltane Chase

I run, but you’re close behind me
Crashing through the undergrowth
Branches scratch my arms and body
The wood is alive
Howling and cheering you on
I can’t escape you
And now the moment has come
Now it’s inevitable
I’m beyond fear
The anticipation
The excitement
Makes my chest ache
My heart pound
My entire body tremble with
The thrill of abandon to
The oncoming tidal wave
Of your touch
