Routine washed away
The panic is blind
Hate is unveiled
No peace can they find

Chaos does reign
Tier upon tier
Structure has gone
Subterranean fear

It's hiding beneath
rocks as they crumble
Over the debris
they slide and stumble

The trough gets deeper
Mud suffocates
Re-building, repairing
Defying their fate

The sun pierces cloud
Wounds start to heal
Memories fade
Beginning to feel

Shadows lay waiting
Triggered by life
Devouring, destroying
Depression and strife

The cycle repeats
Until they let go
Open their hearts
and let in their foe
